Parker McCollum has been on an absolute tear.
A few years ago, I got the chance to see Parker in Raleigh at the now defunct City Limits Saloon. There were a few hundred people in attendance, but it was a sold out show. The Cold Cans crew always said he was going to be a megastar.
Fast forward to June of 2022, and Parker McCollum sold out Raleigh’s Red Hat Ampitheater—with a capacity of 6000 people. That’s an incredible jump in a few short years.
At his shows, Parker has always been good about sharing new, unreleased music with the fans. He even played a few new songs at the Raleigh show.
Now, we get another first look at a killer new tune called “Stoned.” This was the first song McCollum wrote after finishing his latest album, Goldchain Cowboy. The Texas artist has even hinted at dropping it as an individual single on Twitter.
We had a couple of great performances sent to us recently that had to be shared. Sent in by the publisher, saying this was the last song Parker wrote before moving to Nashville—even saying McCollum wrote it on the spot.
